1 Review on “The Ship Inn”
Visited in July 26. The Ship Inn appeared to have closed down, however the car park is unrelated so not a problem. It’s a privately owned car park and therefore not the cheapest. Depends on what time you arrive. We ended up paying the 24 hour charge which was ยฃ16.75. Bit steep perhaps, as only facility was free WIFI (which did work) but the car park is practically on the beach – couldn’t be any closer. Public toilet block opposite which appeared to stay open all night. The other pub in the village – The Pentre Arms – was open, very nice, dog-friendly, served food and had some outside tables overlooking the beach. There is also a shop, a couple of cafes, and the beach has life guards. Will absolutely be going there again. Note that the roads down are a bit of a nightmare – narrow and twisty, single track with passing places for most of it (occasionally difficult even in a transit sized van) – but worth it!
Thanks for the detailed update, Jackie. Iโm sorry to hear that The Ship Inn appeared to have closed, but itโs useful to know that the privately owned car park is still available and that the 24-hour charge was ยฃ16.75 during your visit. Your information about the Wi-Fi, overnight toilets, nearby beach, The Pentre Arms and the narrow access roads will be very helpful to other members. Iโll review and update the listing to make sure it accurately reflects the current situation. Thanks again for taking the time to help the Motorhome Stopover Club community.
