The building itself dates back to the 16th century and has retained much of its original character, with exposed wooden beams and a cozy fireplace. The pub serves a variety of local beers and ciders, as well as classic pub fare like fish and chips and burgers.

Trellech is a picturesque village with a rich history. Visitors can explore the ruins of Trellech Castle, which was built in the 12th century and played a key role in the Welsh Wars of Independence. The village is also home to the Trellech Teas Room, a popular spot for afternoon tea and homemade cakes. For those who enjoy hiking, the nearby Wye Valley offers stunning views and scenic trails.
