The Crown Inn Motorhome Stop — Cotswold Pub Stopover Near the Cotswold Water Park
📍 High Street, Cerney Wick, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 5QH
About this Motorhome Stop
Tucked away in the Cotswold village of Cerney Wick, just off the A419 south of Cirencester, The Crown Inn is one of the finest-value motorhome stopovers in the south of England. At £10 a night including electric hook-up — with fresh water available and toilets accessible during the pub’s opening hours — this is a genuinely exceptional find, particularly given its position on the edge of the vast Cotswold Water Park, a collection of over 150 lakes across the Thames flood plain.
The parking is in the field adjacent to the pub car park, with hardstanding available in the car park itself during wet weather. It’s an officially licensed stopover, authorised for up to five motorhomes. The pub is dog-friendly and well-regarded for its food, running an eclectic Anglo-Indian menu that draws visitors from across the region.
The water park’s network of lakes, nature trails and cycle paths begins effectively from the site gate. Cirencester — Roman capital of the Cotswolds — is 5 miles north, and the whole Water Park area is a paradise for birdwatchers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts.
