The A393 runs nearby, connecting Redruth to Falmouth — a road motorhomers regularly use when travelling between the north and south Cornish coasts. The surrounding area is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site, with engine houses and spoil heaps still visible across the countryside.
