It sits at elevated ground above the Ebbw Valley, close to the A4046 which links Ebbw Vale northward towards Brynmawr and the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road. That road provides the main motorhome route through this part of south Wales, connecting the area to Abergavenny and the Brecon Beacons National Park to the northwest.
