Apollo Farm Motorhome Stop — Farm CAMpRA Aire with Full Services, Cambridgeshire Fens
📍 Ramsey Heights, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE26 2RY
About this Motorhome Stop
Set on a smallholding at Ramsey Heights in the Cambridgeshire fens, Apollo Farm is a CAMpRA-certified motorhome aire offering a level field with hardstanding available in wet conditions, at an honest £10 per night. That price includes toilet cassette disposal, grey waste disposal and fresh water — a comprehensive services package that undercuts the vast majority of certified sites in the region. Electric hook-up is available for an additional £5 if needed.
It’s a genuinely rural, open-fen setting: quiet countryside with big skies and very little noise beyond the birds. The site is authorised for up to five motorhomes and is run by the team behind Lark Harbour, a Cambridgeshire rural tourism business. Book through the website or by phone, and arrive self-contained — this is a working farm.
Ramsey town is the nearest settlement with shops, cafes and a pub. Peterborough, Huntingdon and Ely are all within 30 minutes by road. The fen landscape here is characterful and historic — Holme Post, marking Britain’s lowest point at 2.75 metres below sea level, is just 5 miles away.

The magnificent Ship of the Fens — one of England’s great medieval cathedrals — rises from the flat fen landscape and is visible for miles in every direction. The 14th-century Octagon Tower is an engineering masterpiece and the stained glass museum within is the only dedicated museum of its kind in the world. Rated 4.8 on TripAdvisor. Approx. 13 miles.
A beautifully preserved 15th-century gatehouse — all that remains of the powerful Ramsey Abbey, founded in 969AD and dissolved at the Reformation. Now managed by the National Trust and set within school grounds. The abbey ruins are freely viewable from public footpaths. Approx. 3 miles.
The lowest point in Britain at 2.75 metres below sea level, marked by the extraordinary Holme Post — a cast-iron pillar originally set flush with the ground in 1852, now standing nearly 4 metres tall as the surrounding peat has shrunk away beneath it. A compelling piece of living landscape history in an atmospheric nature reserve. Free. Approx. 5 miles.
One of Britain’s most significant Bronze Age sites — a 3,000-year-old timber causeway crossing the ancient fen, preserved in remarkable detail.
