Dating back to 1768, it offers a warm and traditional pub atmosphere with friendly staff and a low-ceilinged bar area. It serves classic pub meals, including a renowned carvery and bar snacks. The pub uses local suppliers, ensuring fresh produce daily, and has separate areas for dining and a spacious beer garden to relax in. It is well-known for offering a good selection of beers, including Greene King ales and occasional guest beers, alongside promotional beer events.
