Originating in the 18th century, it was initially a beer and cider house for Irish Navigator soldiers who built the canal by hand. Today, it offers two bars serving a wide range of cask ales, keg ales, stouts, lagers, and ciders. The pub provides high-quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the adjacent Tudor Arms Lodge, featuring modern en suite rooms with free WiFi, TV, and tea/coffee facilities.
