About this Motorhome Stop
Opened in May 2024 and quickly establishing itself as one of the finest-value motorhome stops in Highland Perthshire, Aberfeldy Aire is a self-service park-and-pay hardstanding stopover in the beautiful Tay valley, three miles west of Aberfeldy. Certified by the Caledonian Touring Club, it accepts motorhomes up to 11 metres and offers an impressively comprehensive waste service: black waste CDP, grey water drive-over disposal, recycling and a portaloo, all included in the flat £15 fee.
No booking is required or offered — just arrive, pay at the self-service machine by cash or card, and reserve your space with a traffic cone while you explore. Up to five motorhomes can be accommodated. A bus stop sits directly at the site entrance, with services to Aberfeldy, Kenmore, and Kinloch Rannoch. The River Tay Way foot and cycle path connects the aire to Aberfeldy town in around 40 minutes of pleasant riverside walking.
The site also sells local produce from a self-service shed — wood fuel, seasonal soft fruit, Scottish tablet and free-range eggs. The site lies on both the Heart 200 touring route and National Cycle Route 7, making it a natural overnight stop for two-wheeled and four-wheeled explorers of Perthshire’s remarkable landscape.
