The White Swan is an independently owned, family-run pub located in the heart of the quaint village of Newton-upon-Rawcliffe at postcode YO18 8QA. It offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with real traditional ales, fine wines, and locally sourced food from the surrounding areas. Behind the pub is a 42-pitch caravan park ideal for motorhome parking, nestled adjacent to scenic walking paths down to Levisham station and beyond. The pub features a large beer garden with undercover shelter and welcomes well-behaved dogs on leads outside food serving times. The pub building is Grade II listed, close to the North York Moors, and around 4 miles north of Pickering.

Food is served from spring to autumn and on occasional winter-themed days (booking is essential). The menu features locally sourced, freshly cooked dishes including:
- Starters: Brie wedges with chutney, classic prawn cocktail, calamari strips, creamy garlic mushrooms
- Main Courses: Fresh battered haddock & chips, Whitby scampi, homemade lasagne (meat and vegetarian), minted lamb shank, pie of the day, gammon, gourmet steak burger, seafood platter, chicken tikka masala
- Desserts: Homemade cheesecakes, sponge puddings, tiramisu, trio of ice-cream flavors
- Sunday Lunch: Choice of two roasts including sirloin of beef, with Yorkshire pudding and seasonal vegetables
Note: Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant during food service but are welcome otherwise.
