Recently refurbished, it is well-regarded for its excellent freshly prepared food, especially its legendary Sunday Lunch and the highly praised Cheese & Onion Pie. The pub serves fine cask ales, award-winning wines, and a great range of spirits, featuring beers from the Robinsons brewery such as the Dizzy Blonde and Cumbrian Way. It offers a friendly atmosphere with prompt, attentive service and a lovely large beer garden that serves as an all-day suntrap. Dogs are welcome, making it a great spot for motorhome visitors and locals alike. Booking is recommended during busy times, particularly weekends.
