The pub serves quality beers, ales, spirits, and wines, and is popular with walkers and diners alike. It recently reopened under new ownership in October 2023 and retains its classic rural pub atmosphere. The Leicestershire Round long-distance footpath passes right in front of the pub, making it an excellent motorhome pub stopover for exploring the countryside.
