Motorhome Stopovers in Cardigan

Cardigan — known in Welsh as Aberteifi — sits at the mouth of the River Teifi in the southwest corner of Ceredigion, close to the Pembrokeshire border. The A487 and A484 converge here, making it a junction town for motorhomers coming up from Pembrokeshire or heading along the Ceredigion coast. The town has a restored castle on the riverbank and sits at the northern edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with the Teifi Valley stretching inland to the east.

It’s a practical overnight stop as well as a base for exploring both coastlines. Motorhome Stopover Club members share verified stopovers in the Cardigan area — particularly useful given the town’s position between two popular touring regions where motorhome-friendly overnight stops can book up fast in summer.
