Kidwelly is a small historic town in Carmarthenshire, southwest Wales, sitting on the Gwendraeth Fach estuary a few miles north of Burry Port. The A484 runs nearby, connecting it to Carmarthen to the north and Llanelli to the south — a useful corridor for motorhomers travelling the south Wales coast. The town is known for its well-preserved medieval castle, one of the more complete examples in Wales, and the surrounding landscape is flat coastal plain with the Gwendraeth valleys rising to the north.
