Motorhome Stopovers in Donaghadee
Donaghadee is a small harbour town on the northeastern tip of the Ards Peninsula in County Down, around 5 miles south of Bangor on the A2 coastal road. It sits directly on the Irish Sea coast, with views across to Scotland on a clear day — the Mull of Kintyre is less than 20 miles away. The town has a lighthouse and a harbour that has been in use for centuries, and it’s one of the more characterful stops on the North Down coast. From here, the A2 continues south along the peninsula towards Millisle, Ballywalter, and eventually Portavogie and Strangford Lough.
