Rake Meadows Motorhome Aire — Hardstanding Aire on the Outskirts of Chester
📍 Rake Lane, Chester, Cheshire, CH2 4HS
About this Motorhome Stop
Just north of Chester’s city centre, Rake Meadows is a properly surfaced, all-year motorhome aire with five hardstanding pitches, certified by CAMpRA with the correct legal exemption certificate for overnight motorhome stays. At £19 a night including electric hook-up and on-site toilet access, it sits comfortably under the £20 ceiling and gives you a solid base for exploring one of England’s finest walled cities. The site is fully hardstanding and operated year-round, with a maximum of five motorhomes authorised per night.
Note that black waste cassette emptying is not offered on site, so you’ll need to plan accordingly. Pitches are not bookable online; contact the site owner directly on the number above to reserve your space. With only five pitches and a location this close to Chester, calling ahead is strongly recommended — particularly for weekend stays.
Chester is around 1.5 miles from the site on foot, or a short drive. The city’s famous Roman walls, the unique Rows covered galleries, Chester Cathedral and the Eastgate Clock are all within easy reach, making this an excellent value base for a night of serious sightseeing.
