-The Boar’s Head Ripley is a charming and historic pub located in the picturesque village of Ripley, Harrogate. The building itself dates back to the 17th century and has been lovingly restored to retain its original character and charm. Inside, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional decor and a roaring fire to keep you cozy on chilly days.
Unfortunately, it’s important to note that The Boar’s Head Ripley is no longer MH friendly, meaning it may not be accessible for those with mobility impairments.
Despite this, Ripley is a lovely village to explore, with plenty of quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants to discover. The village is also home to Ripley Castle, a stunning 14th-century castle that is open to the public for tours and events. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, Ripley and The Boar’s Head are definitely worth a visit.

About the Pub 🏡
The Boar's Head is a traditional Coaching Inn located at the heart of the Ripley Castle Estate near Harrogate. It is known for its excellent customer service and high-quality seasonal menus featuring locally sourced produce. The pub offers a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with a bar, a snug, and a more formal dining room. It is part of a hotel with 23 individual bedrooms, making it a suitable base for visitors to the area.
The pub bar features bistro-style seating and charming décor, including historical prints, caricatures, and amusing boar-themed cartoons on the walls. There are several real ales available, including changing beers such as Black Sheep seasonal, Ilkley, and Theakston Best Bitter.
Please note that this pub is no longer motorhome friendly for stopovers despite its hospitality features.
