It was a Greene King pub that historically offered a beer garden with lovely country views and a well-lit car park with ample space, making it suitable for motorhome parking and stopovers. It had the facility to accommodate caravans with at least 3 pitches available. Unfortunately, as of July 2024, this pub has been permanently closed and demolished for redevelopment. The carvery was traditionally served from 12 noon until 3 PM with the full menu available from 12 noon until 8:30 PM (some sources indicated until 6 PM).
